jas2pray said: Our children are learning the power of prayer. Quite a few of them have parents who have smoking and or drinking habits. We have been praying that the Lord would deliver them. The kids really get fervent in their prayers at times especially about this issue. We prayed for about 3 weeks and three of the kids from different families reported that their parent had given up their habit. The kids were beaming and so excited that God had heard their prayers and answered. We often have a five minutebow at your seat- prayer time to talk to God, during this time the Kid's Church workers go and lay hands on each child for a moment and pray for them. The kids also really like it when we invite them up front for special prayer and we pray with each one individually. We are sometimes surprised at the response, but the more you do it, the more the kids seem to enter in...God bless you! Pastor Janice Word of Life Kid's Church

They pray expecting, and waiting for the answers. Only if we had the faith of these children, could we expect and wait upon the Lord. Every time we receive a prayer request, we immediately go to the Lord in prayer and the 5 yr. old prays right along with me. It's amazing to hear her pray and talk with the Lord. This is great advice, and I'm passing it on to those who need to see it. God's blessings on your work and your ministry with our precious children. May we bring them up in the way God would have us to. Grandma Liz

However, this is great information and I will try to implement this in my class as often as possible. I definitely learned from this story. I strongly believe if we were to get the children more involved with praying at a young age, we wiil definitley see positive results as hey grow older. Thanks for this story it is truly a blessing to me.

PS I have a brother in law that doesn't like people calling children kids but I guess I feel saying children is so formal and saying kids is just fun!?!?!? Just my two cents...

May I suggest here that we always refer to little ones as 'children' and not' kids', kids are little ones of goats. Thank you.
