I also touched base with our family pediatrican as well and he wants me to follow up with him on Friday. My sister in law sent me this article, i have pray support from my church and freinds. I will get some clay and have my son use it. I am going to write out some verses and put them up next to his bed with pictures of his grandma and dog. He is playing basketball 6 nights a week with his 2 teams. Last I got my teddy bear and sat on his bed with him and his stuff animal we hugged cried talked and prayed. Then I sang him to sleep. Tammy

I had a conversation with someone this week who said that death is a "clean grief"--it's once and for all but still painful. Divorce and loss such as what your children are facing is a "dirty grief"--so many questions and so many issues to still deal with. Regardless, both are "loss," and the more equipped you can be to understand how to help children deal with loss, the better you'll be able to help them. Perhaps this article will help some: http://www.childrensministry.com/article.asp?ID=1639 I also highly recommend the Emergency-Response Handbook for Children's Ministry from Group at www.group.com to help equip you to minister to your children. God bless you! Christine Yount Jones

He asked where the building was that they buried people in and how the building was in the ground. We knew he had the concept that somewhere on the cemertery ground there was a building wtih an elevator where somehow you buried people. Pretty deep thinking for a 7 year old. My wife was with him at the time and discussed the issue. I know lack of understanding is really the hardest and honest answers make a difference.
