I am actually meeting with my personel advisor in the morning and family ministry is one of the things I have on my list of things I want to accomplish sometime in the near future. I was so glad to hear that this is somthing that needed to be added slowly. Sometimes it feels like the church wants everything and they want it to happen yesterday. I think moving slowly into this will hopfully give the parents time to consider how they want to become part of the programs that will be offered. I know whenever you make any changes people seem to resist even if it is a good change. Thank you for your article. I will be taking this into consideration as I work with the church to bring family ministry to the light.

Deuteronomy 6:4-7 clearly commands parents to be spiritual leaders in the context of family where one's sense of significance, belonging and security is established under God's authority. That's why as a Director of Children's Ministry, equipping, celebrating and maximizing the influence of parents has become my passion!
