9 Encouraging Quotes to Help Kids Ease Their Worries

Kids live in a much different world than we did growing up; there’s a lot more to be worried about! In fact, kids stress out about 45 percent more now than they did three decades ago.

According to the National Association of Health Education Centers, worrying in children, when not controlled, can lead to anxiety disorders, depression, and other mental conditions that may affect their mental and physical health in future years.

You might have kids in your ministry who are struggling with stress or are anguished with anxiety. You, too, might be feeling some pressure from life. If worry is a problem that has wiggled its way into your ministry, here are some inspirational and motivational quotes on worry that may give you a new perspective.

9 Encouraging Quotes to Help Kids Ease Their Worries

1) “Every evening I turn my worries over to God. He’s going to be up all night anyway.” –Mary C. Crowley, founder of Home Interiors & Gifts, Inc.

2) “It is of no use to say to men, ‘Let not your heart be troubled,’ unless you finish the verse and say, ‘Believe in God, believe also in Christ.’ ” –Alexander MacLaren (1826-1910)

3) “No one can pray and worry at the same time.” –Max Lucado

4) “It is not worrying, but rather trusting and abiding in the peace of God that will crush anything that Satan tries to do to us. If the Lord created the world out of chaos, He can easily deal with any problem that we have.” –Rick Joyner, head of Morning Star Ministries

5) “Anxiety is the natural result when our hopes are centered in anything short of God and His will for us.” –Billy Graham

6) “Fast from worry; feast on trust.” –Anonymous

7) “Worry is the sin of distrusting the promise and providence of God, and yet it is a sin that Christians commit perhaps more frequently than any other.” –John MacArthur

8) “Anything big enough to occupy our minds is big enough to hang a prayer on.” –George MacDonald (1824-1905)

9) “With God in charge, I believe everything will work out for the best in the end. So what is there to worry about?” –Henry Ford, inventor of the automobile

Of course, the best advice regarding how we should handle worry comes from Jesus in Matthew 6:25-34. So, when you feel like your life is spinning out of control, just remember God cares about you. And when you see your kids worrying, remind them that God really loves them, too!

    ABOUT #9
I would not be quoting Henry Ford, concerning God.
He treated his son abominably, all his life. I read a long article on it, years ago, but will apologize, if it was not true.

    In Christ,
