Great Publicity Ideas:

  • Create an insert for your church bulletin for three weeks before the event. In each insert, highlight one of the sections of the Exodus Event.
  • Use email for publicity. Compose an email with the day, time, your church address, and a description of the event. Emphasize that non-members are welcome by encouraging members to invite friends, neighbors, and family. Emphasize that the event is free.
  • Write a mock press release. For a sample press release, go to http://www.press-release-examples.com/press-release-examples.html. You can post the press releases around your church, or distribute them as fliers.
  • Take out an "ad" in the church newsletter. Check with your local newspaper about free advertising possibilities.
  • Make bulletin boards advertising the event.
  • Have kids wear stickers (printable peel-and-stick labels) promoting the event.
  • Have volunteers dress up in Bible-time clothing with event flyers. Give them to church members as they leave the service.
  • Make sidewalk announcements for the event using sidewalk chalk.
