Look Who’s Coming Station
Serve One Another Station
- Have a Service Challenge for families with ideas for them to serve others during Easter week
- Bake homemade bread while participants are entering and discuss the connection between the wonderful smell of bread baking and the gift of Jesus: the Bread of Life
- Add communion to this station
Quiet Time in the Garden Station
- Host a family prayer vigil to coincide with this station
- Make this station a prayer walk outdoors and have families pray for specific needs in your church at different stations
- Borrow lots of plants and greenery from a local nursery to create a beautiful garden setting
Farther Than the Eye Can See Station
Light in the Darkness Station
- Give participants a glow stick to remind them to be a light in the world http://www.orientaltrading.com
- Display a wooden cross at the station entrance. Have nails, hammers, pens, and paper available. Let family members write a sin on the paper and then have them nail it to the cross.
All Things New Station
- Separate this station and host it on Easter morning, complete with a family pancake breakfast.
- Have this station outside and create a farm atmosphere by having a petting zoo for kids.
A Spin on How to Host the Easter Path
- Have small groups use the Easter Path as a progressive family outing. Have families host a station at their home instead of holding the Path at your church.
- Host the Easter Path at a local park as a community outreach.
- Spread the Easter Path out and host a station each week during Lent.
